Location: Africa – Remote Site / International ProjectContract Type: Expatriation (rotation or resident)Expected Start Date: Q4 2025 (Project Preparation Phase)POSITION OBJECTIVEAs part of the restart of a major international project, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR functions related to project execution. The role involves managing human resources in an international, remote, and multicultural environment, working closely with project teams, partners, and local stakeholders. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESProject HR SetupActively participate in the project mobilization phase (HR, administration, camp/base life). Ensure implementation of internal HR procedures and compliance with local labor laws.
Act as the primary HR interface between the project site, headquarters, local authorities, and partners. HR Administration & ManagementOversee contracts, visas, work permits, onboarding, and the full employee lifecycle. Implement disciplinary policies, conflict management, and internal procedures. Coordinate with service providers (security, medical, accommodation, transport). Recruitment & StaffingLead both local and expatriate recruitment in collaboration with Talent Acquisition teams. Manage mobilization/demobilization, rotations, and workforce planning. Monitor headcount, HR KPIs, and reporting to the Project Director and HQ. Development & RetentionSupport the upskilling and career development of local teams. Monitor internal career paths and mobility across projects.
Promote HR integration within QHSE, ethics, and compliance culture. PROFILE REQUIREDEducation: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Law, or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 8 years of HR experience in Construction / Oil & Gas / Industrial Infrastructure projects. Proven experience in international environments or complex regions (Africa, Middle East, Asia). Mandatory experience on-site in remote or camp-based projects. Technical Skills: Recruitment, contract management, immigration, and expatriation processes. Strong knowledge of local and international labor law. HR tools, workforce planning, and project HR reporting. Familiarity with high-demand environments (safety, logistics, climate, multicultural teams). Languages: Fluent English (mandatory). French is an asset.
Portuguese is a strong plus.
