Telecommunications Project Manager Job Description: GCP Technologies LLC is an engineering and design firm with a history of continuous growth serving the Telecommunication Industry. Currently, we are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a Project Manager.The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex telecommunication projects, including the management, mentorship, and supervision of a team of technical professionals, to ensure successful outcomes within defined timelines and budgets.This will be a permanent, full-time position. Benefits include flexible hours, health insurance plan options (medical, dentall, vision, and workplace benefits), paid holidays, vacation, personal, and sick days.Location: Houston, TexasHours: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM, with some flexibilityEssential Functions – Including but not limited to the following:Provide Project Management and Oversight for telecommunication (civil/relocation) projectsOversee the selection, training, development, work assignments, and day-to-day supervision of assigned personnelAttend Utility / TxDOT / Municipality coordination meetings to represent clientPrepare Utility Agreement Assembly packagesReview plans to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines, rules, and regulationsMonitor/track project status and manage project budgetsActively engage and follow-up with utility coordinatorsApply technical expertise and assist project team in resolving roadblocks, staying within budget, and on schedulePerform independent research and delegate changing prioritiesWork with minimal supervision and deliver accurate work productsWork with project team(s) to ensure tasks and designs are coordinated to produce accurate and effective plan setsCoordinate with task leads and administrative staff to resolve issues, escalating to supervisors when necessaryAssist in reviewing project plan set data to identify conflicts and develop concept planAssist in setting up and maintaining project electronic filesAssist in developing/maintaining project schedulesAssist in reviewing field data, design & permit drawings (QA/QC)Assist in updating internal and client project trackersAssist in monitoring and implementing design changes from clientsAssist in responding to requests from clientsLearn and maintain knowledge of client standards, rules, and requirements for planning, construction, and documentationPerform independent research and adapt to changing prioritiesWork with minimal supervision and deliver accurate work productsMaintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrityQualifications:4+ years of Utility Coordination and/or Project Manager experience, with a minimum of 2 years involving direct line management or supervisory responsibilities2+ years of experience with AutoCADTelecommunication based Permit and Drafting experience requiredHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociates of Applied Science in Computer Aided Drafting and Design and/or AutoCAD Certificate of Completion preferredExperience with TxDOT ROW and Utility policies/proceduresProficient in Excel, Word, and PDFAbility to read and interpret applicable plans, schematics, blueprints, and maps.Familiarity with the TxDOT ROW Utility Manual and Texas Administrative Code Utility Accommodation Rules, knowledge of principles of utility coordination and associated terminologyStrong Communication and organizational skills and attention to detailMotivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlinesDesire to collaborate with professionals and clients to increase your industry knowledge and grow in your careerCommitment to perform responsibilities consistent with industry standards to achieve department and company goalsInterest in developing relationships with clients, partners, and local organizations to remain a trusted resource in the communityAbility to read/interpret field surveys
