Telecoms Design Engineer

We are seeking a Telecoms Design Engineer for a full-time position in Baku, Azerbaijan. Please note that only Azerbaijani citizens will be considered for this role.Key Responsibilities include:- Designing, installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecom and network systems.- Producing redlines and as-built drawings to company and OEM standards using AutoCAD and Visio.- Supporting upgrades for CCTV, GPS Time, LOS, NMS, Intercom, Voice Recorder, Sat phones, and structured cabling.- Planning and executing testing and verification using OTDR, optical power meters, RF analysers, and BER testers.- Leading root cause analysis and reliability improvements, supporting site surveys, FAT/SAT, and handover processes.- Ensuring compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and Digital Security while liaising with client technical authorities and OEMs.Minimum Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Telecoms or a related field.- At least 6 years of recent design and engineering experience.- Hands-on experience with CCTV, SDH/DWDM, VoIP, LAN/WAN, GPS time synchronisation, and Radio LOS.- Solid understanding of protocols and standards, including Ethernet, IP, TDM, and SONET/SDH, with exposure to NMS.- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interpret drawings and schematics.Preferred qualifications include:- Experience in the Oil & Gas or offshore sectors.- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, SDH/DWDM, CompEx, BOSIET, or vendor-specific certifications.- Knowledge of DWDM/SDH backbone design, and IP integrations, as well as familiarity with MOC procedure and documentation.To apply, please send your CV and certificates to hr.admin@sigmacis.com with the subject line “Telecoms Design Engineer.”
