The position will be filled either as a fixed-term Assistant Professor or Associate Professor position within the Tenure track system, or as a permanent Professor position. The level is determined by the applicant's merits and career stage.Job description and requirementsThe field of the position is Accounting, especially data analytics in business. The research profile of the position is linked to Auditing and Control in Accounting research group in the School of Accounting and Finance. The task of the selected person is to further strengthen the School's research activities in its focus areas. The research of the position should be oriented to one of the University's strategic focus areas: energy transition and technology, business management, and governance and society. In line with the strategy of the University of Vaasa, the position holder can take part in the actions of the multidisciplinary research platforms of the University.Applicants are required to have a relevant doctoral degree as well as excellent academic credentials, evidence of potential to produce outstanding research, and evidence of high-quality teaching or potential to do so. The tenure track position is research-oriented, but also includes teaching, thesis supervision, applying external funding for research projects, and university administrative duties. The teaching and supervision duties are focused on the Bachelor’s Programme in Accounting and Finance and Master’s Programme in Accounting and Auditing.
