Test Automation Specialist

Job Title: Automation Test EngineerLocation: Warsaw, PolandRole Description:We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated testing frameworks that ensure the quality, functionality, and performance of software products. The role involves close collaboration with software developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as JUnit, Selenium, and TestNG, analyzing test results, documenting defects, and driving improvements in testing processes.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement automated test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality and performance.Collaborate with software developers and stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.Create comprehensive test cases and test data aligned with functional specifications.Execute automated and regression tests, analyze results, and identify issues or inconsistencies.Document and report defects clearly, and follow through to resolution.Continuously identify areas of improvement in test automation and propose process or tool enhancements.Maintain detailed and accurate records of test cases, execution results, and defect reports.Participate in test planning, design reviews, and agile ceremonies as part of the development lifecycle.Work effectively within cross-geography teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.Competencies:Java Unit Testing Frameworks (JUnit, *Unit, *Mock, Cactus, etc.)SeleniumTestNGEssential Skills:Strong hands-on experience with automation test frameworks using Java-based tools (JUnit, Selenium, TestNG).Good understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and SDLC/STLC.Ability to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites.Experience in analyzing test failures and providing root cause analysis.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with global teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.Desirable Skills:Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in DevOps environments.Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
