Their drones serve as “first-on-scene” responders, flying ahead of ambulances to deliver critical aid and offer real-time situational awareness. They're looking to hire a Test Manager to own the test strategy, roadmap, and execution across hardware, software, and operational systems. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role, leading a small team of test engineers and working closely with R&D, software, and hardware teams to design, execute, and refine flight test campaigns. Most of the testing is performed outdoors, flying drones across varied mission profiles to validate performance, safety, and compliance. Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of test engineers responsible for flight and systems testing. Define, plan, and execute flight test programs, from concept validation to regulatory compliance. Establish and maintain a robust verification and validation (V&V) framework for autonomous drone systems. Ensure testing covers the full system stack — avionics, autonomy software, ground control, communications, and payload integration. Analyse test data, identify root causes, and provide actionable feedback to engineering and software teams. Collaborate closely with operations and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with EU drone regulations and SORA methodology. Continuously improve test methodologies, documentation, and safety processes. Represent the test and validation function in technical reviews, design gates, and certification discussions.
