Become part of the Thales team of experts at one of the leading providers of training & simulation in Europe.We look forward to meeting you!Your MissionDevelop, implement, and maintain EOL test procedures for combat training equipment (soldier harnesses, vehicle systems, supporting electronics).Prepare and operate EOL testing rigs and systems for hardware and integrated solutions.Perform hands-on testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of units to validate correct assembly and functionality.Plan, execute, and support environmental qualification testing (EMC, vibration, thermal cycling, shock, humidity, etc.) in accordance with relevant military and industry standards.Liaise with internal and external test laboratories for environmental testing campaigns.Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to define test coverage and resolve detected issues.Analyze test data, document results, and present findings to stakeholders.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance EOL test efficiency and reliability.Ensure full compliance with internal quality controls and military/environmental standards.Generate and maintain clear technical documentation and reports for traceability and audit purposes.Provide technical input into make-or-buy decisions for test equipment, fixtures, and system components, working closely with procurement and engineering teams.Participate in the evaluation and qualification of suppliers for test systems or components, including on-site audits and technical assessments.We look forward toBachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.Proven experience in hardware testing, preferably with military or ruggedized electronic systems.Familiarity with EOL or production testing tools and methodologies.Hands-on experience with environmental testing (EMC, vibration, thermal, etc.).Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, environmental chambers, vibration tables).Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Ability to interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and proven ability to work effectively in a team environmentExperience with soldier electronic systems and/or vehicle integration.Knowledge of military standards and certification processes (e.g., MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810).Experience with automated test systems and software (e.g., NI LabVIEW).Prior involvement in supplier selection, qualification, or auditingStrong communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly document test results and findings.Ability to quickly understand complex system architectures and integration points between software, hardware, and network components.Analytical and detail-oriented, with a focus on identifying and resolving integration issues and performance bottlenecksA proactive and adaptable team player, able to work independently while managing multiple integration and testing tasks.Solid experience with system troubleshooting and providing technical support during the integration and testing phases.Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, able to prioritize tasks and contribute to multiple projects simultaneouslyWhat you can expect at our Bern locationFlexible and mobile working without core hours | Part-time models to promote work-life balance | “Sharing Thales” employee share program | Benefits for special occasions | International development opportunities within the Thales Group | Extensive training opportunities at the Thales Learning Hub | Regular development discussions | Advantages platform with employee discounts | Free hot and cold beverages | Paid premiums for accident and daily sickness allowance insuranceFor our 83,000 employees in 68 countries, we open up forward-looking opportunities, enable individual career paths, and allow space for creativity.
