Job Description

The lawyer/legal counsel at the American College of Greece (ACG) is seeking to collaborate with two Legal Trainees. The positions are based at the Aghia Paraskevi campus and offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, cross-functional legal environment. The PositionAs a Legal Trainee, you will be exposed to a wide range of legal and regulatory matters related to the operation and governance of a large nonprofit, U. S. -affiliated educational institution in Greece.

You will support the inhouse legal counsel of a large educational institution in providing legal advice, policy guidance, and compliance support across administrative and academic departments. Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the drafting, review, and preparation of internal legal documents, institutional policies, and correspondenceConduct legal research on education law, administrative law, labor law, data protection (GDPR), family law, and related areasSupport the head lawyer in responding to institutional and regulatory inquiriesMonitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to nonprofit education providersAssist in supervising legal interns and contribute to the coordination of their workCollaborate with internal stakeholders across the CollegeMaintain accurate records, support legal filing, and ensure confidentialityPerform any other duties as assigned by the responsible lawyer/supervisor. Required Qualifications:

Degree in Law from a Greek universityEligible to commence the formal 18-month legal traineeship (άσκηση) or currently in training with at least 6 months remainingStrong interest in education law, public law, family law, and policy-making for nonprofit institutionsExcellent legal drafting and research skills in both Greek and EnglishRequired Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh ethical standards, discretion, and a strong sense of professionalismProficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with legal research tools (e. g. , Nomos, Sakkoulas, e-law) is desirableApplication Deadline: July 31, 2025Anticipated Start Date: September 2025
