Utility Worker / Handyman

📍 Pittsburgh, PA🕕 Monday–Friday, 6: 00 AM – 2: 30 PMThe Cary Company is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our warehouse team in Pittsburgh. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, variety in their day, and has hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and basic mechanical systems. You’ll primarily support general labor tasks such as washing totes, grinding plastic, and facility cleanup, while also assisting with maintenance and troubleshooting of our reconditioning equipment. Duties: Wash and recondition plastic totes and containersOperate plastic grinders, shredders, and related equipmentPerform general warehouse cleanup and housekeepingAssist with maintenance and preventive care on:

Washing lineHoses and filtersOil separatorPlastic shredder and grinderTroubleshoot and repair basic mechanical componentsOperate hand and power tools (e. g. , drills, impact drivers, saws)Handle drums, palletizing, and recycling materials as neededSupport quality control and equipment checksRequirements: Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working around machineryFamiliarity with basic repairs and equipment troubleshootingAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periodsWillingness to follow PPE protocols (steel-toed boots, gloves, etc. )Ability to follow directions and work well with othersNo prior experience required — on-the-job training providedForklift experience is a plus, but not requiredPerks:
