Job DescriptionThe Temple Department is seeking to appoint a Housing Supervisor. This is a permanent full-time position based in Apia, Samoa, reporting to the Apia Samoa Temple Recorder. As a Housing Supervisor, you will supervise the housing operations under the direction of the Temple Recorder and provide an environment where patrons have a positive and uplifting experience. Responsibilities Oversee all housing and laundry operations, including managing hours of operation, laundering and restocking bedding, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating supply orders in alignment with the approved budget. Other duties include:
reservation process, including phone calls, emails, checking patrons in and out, collect rent payments, and daily cash reconciliations. Observe and report safety concerns of the building to Special Projects Department (SPD) and the administration of the property management system. QualificationsMinimum of two years of post-secondary education and 3 years related work experienceSupervisory experience or hospitality experience strongly desired. Demonstrates integrity and sound judgment in decision-making. Strong organizational and people skills. Experience handling payments and applying basic financial principles. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment. Experience in delivering training or instruction to others.
Proficient in computer systems, particularly in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), with the aptitude to learn new software applications as needed. Able to perform physical tasks as required i. e. lift 15 kgs, sit or stand for long periods of time. Only candidates who have legal work eligibility to hold employment in Samoa should apply.
