Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and coordinate all field operations, including manpower, equipment, and resources. Interface daily with Project Managers, foremen, inspectors, subcontractors, and field technicians. Manage the complete construction lifecycle of earthwork and grading projects. Maintain project schedules, budgets, and production goals. Ensure the implementation and optimization of GPS and grade control systems. Monitor safety and enforce compliance with all regulations and standards. Interpret plans, specifications, and soils reports with accuracy. Oversee documentation, reports, and field communication to ensure alignment between all parties. Solve problems proactively to ensure minimal disruption to production and schedule.
Uphold and promote company values, quality standards, and productivity expectations across all job sites. Qualifications10+ years of experience supervising mass grading and earthwork operations. Proven leadership in field supervision, particularly as a Foreman or Superintendent. Deep understanding of construction means and methods, equipment usage, and production metrics. Strong command of GPS and grade-checking technologies. Skilled in reading construction plans and reports (including soils and civil drawings). Excellent documentation and organizational skills. Competent with basic computer applications for project tracking and communication. Clear communicator with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results. High school diploma or GED required.
