About the RoleThe Escondido Creek Conservancy is hiring a full-time Conservation Land Management Associate to support the stewardship of over 3,000 acres of preserved land across North San Diego County. This primarily field-based role includes habitat restoration, property monitoring, and community engagement. The position is 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work. Compensation is $24–$26/hour, depending on experience. This role includes a comprehensive benefits package: 401(k) with 4% employer match, 14 paid holidays (including winter break), generous PTO and sick leave, a flexible schedule, and access to company vehicles for fieldwork. ResponsibilitiesConduct regular fieldwork:
invasive plant control, trail maintenance, fencing, and signageMonitor conservation properties and support restoration projectsEngage with landowners and the public to promote land stewardshipAssist with community events and volunteer coordinationPerform basic mapping and light administrative tasks as neededQualificationsPassion for conservation and outdoor workAbility to hike 2–6 miles per day and lift up to 50 lbsStrong communication and teamwork skillsExperience in land management, agriculture, or related field preferredGIS knowledge and familiarity with Southern California ecosystems a plusValid CA driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
