Company Overview: The Pay It Forward Company (PIF) and its affiliate companies are global experts in the areas of venture capital, private equity, capital markets, product development, and business process outsourcing. With a presence in the U. S. and around the globe, the firm is rapidly growing and looking to expand its team. Position Details: PIF is looking for an Accountant to join its finance team. This role is critical to the organization and will be responsible for accounting functions across various business units (investment funds, family office, and advisory clients).

The Accountant will also assist in financial operations, ensure accurate accounting and reporting, and collaborate heavily with internal and external teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, an experienced multitasker, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are self-starters, innately curious, and mindful in their actions. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accuracy and timeliness of financial statements. Prepare and review financial statements as required. Oversee junior accounting staff and/or outsourced vendors. Perform transactional data entry (expenses, accounts payable, etc. ). Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations. Administer accounts payable (vendor bills and payments via Bill. com or other tools).

Administer accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections. Perform bank & credit card reconciliations, including journal entries. Process payroll using platforms such as Rippling. Record and reconcile payroll transactions. Manage fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments. Maintain the general ledger and perform ledger maintenance. Prepare and review company budgets, including budget and cash flow forecasting. Track budget-to-actual reporting. Perform month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings. Maintain compliance with US GAAP. Interface with tax preparers, auditors, lawyers, vendors, and internal team members. Support corporate structuring matters, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), public offerings, and family office client management.

Track balances across multiple currencies, including digital currencies (crypto). Ensure compliance with client agreements, regulatory standards, and consulting requirements. Perform ad hoc accounting-related tasks and projects as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications: Fluent EnglishCPA certification is not required but highly preferred. Minimum of 2 years of public accounting, management accounting and/or private industry accounting experience. Preference given to those with public accounting experienceAble to work US hours remote (8 AM – 5 PM Pacific, Central or Eastern). Familiarity with Netsuite is a plus; must be willing to learn if minimal experience. Strong desire to take ownership and initiative of projects and tasks.

Detail-oriented with exceptional oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple and ever-changing priorities. Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in ASC 946, ASC 820 and cryptocurrency accounting is a plus. Experience in a consulting role or client-facing finance/accounting services is a plus.
