Main Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelop and pro-actively seek out New Business opportunities Put together appropriate proposals and present these to client timeously Secure letters of appointment and place cover as required by clients Provide clients with technically sound advice Handover all files (electronic and manual) to the Service Team as per agreed standard Maintain and update information on Marsh Force as per agreed standard Attend all meetings as agreed Participate in developing the New Business Strategy and Marketing Plan for the business area Meet or exceed the agreed income targets Ensure effective cross-selling between Marsh divisions Provide technical support / assistance to office and other staff as required Develop relationships with markets and Key Client decision makers Experience And Qualifications RequirementsRelevant Insurance qualification ACII / HCII or Fellowship Regulatory exam Proof of credits from INSETA D.O.F.A (Date of First Appointment) certificate from the FSB Matric certificate Mathematical and computer literacy (MS Office, specifically strong Excel and PowerPoint skills) Minimum 5 years New Business experience in a mid-market Insurance environment Proven Technical understanding of classes in mid-market insurance environment Proven success track record in career history, of success in a New Business position Own transport and drivers' license Preferred Personal AttributesWork under pressure, independently and meet deadlines Team Player, and energetic enthusiastic personality will be best suited to this role Excellent client service work ethic and approach to large corporate clients Attention to detail and follow up on administrative tasks where required Assertive, strong sales and presentation skills Persistent and positive disposition to business opportunities and new business prospects Good problem solving skills, and analytical thinking Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize, with good time management skills Good business acumen, and be able to take decisions in the best interest of the client and business This position will be filled in accordance with our employment equity policyMarsh, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is the world's top insurance broker and risk advisor.
