Job DescriptionThe Special Projects Department (SPD) is pleased to announce the availability of one permanent, full-time Gardener position at the Neiafu Tonga Temple. This role reports directly to the Temple Facility Manager and are expected to commence early January 2026.As a ground’s keeper, you will ensure temple grounds reflect the beauty, cleanliness, and sacred nature of the temple experience. You will help maintain standards established by the First Presidency, perform gardening work, maintaining, and caring for landscaped areas, sidewalks, driveways, building entrances and other assigned areas.ResponsibilitiesPrune and shape shrubs and trees to provide optimum growth and enhance the beauty of temple grounds. Identify pest and disease problems, and apply appropriate remedy by spraying the turf, shrubs, and trees for insect, weed, or disease control. Also perform regular fertilization per established plan. Maintain landscape plan by mowing, trimming and edging turf areas. Perform other, diverse landscaping tasks, including both hard landscaping (such as minor stucco or concrete repairs) and soft landscaping (such as planting, mulching, pruning, and irrigation repairs).QualificationsOne to two years of experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture, gardening, agriculture, landscape design, or related field.
