Hays Electrical Services approaches each project with a cooperative mindset, working with business owners, contractors, and subcontractors towards the common goal – successful project delivery.Job Overview:The Tools Account Manager will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of Hays Electrical Services’ internal tool rental program. This role will be responsible for building the program from the ground up, using Tenna as the centralized tool tracking software and fully integrating it with Vista ERP to ensure seamless financial reporting. The position is focused on building scalable processes for tool allocation, billing, and reporting across all electrical construction projects—ultimately establishing an in-house rental program comparable to an external provider such as United Rentals.Key Responsibilities:Program Development & ImplementationLead the design, buildout, and launch of the company’s internal tool rental programImplement Tenna software to manage all tool tracking, allocation, and cost distributionWork with IT and Accounting teams to ensure Tenna is fully integrated with Vista ERP, enabling automated financial flowsDevelop company-wide standards for tool rentals, including policies, pricing models, and usage reportingEstablish training programs for project teams, warehouse staff, and office personnel on tool rental processesFinancial Reporting & ERP IntegrationEnsure all tool charges flow directly into Vista ERP cost codes for accurate project billingMaintain alignment between tool usage and project budgets across all active jobsGenerate monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports reflecting tool costs, ensuring Project Managers and Superintendents have visibility during financial review meetingsSupport year-end reporting by reconciling all tool-related financials within Vista for company-wide financial audits and projectionsOperational OversightAct as the primary administrator for Tenna, ensuring accuracy of all tool records, allocations, and cost entriesCoordinate with the Tool Technician, who manages physical service and repairs, by facilitating service tickets and status tracking through TennaPartner with Project Managers and Superintendents to forecast upcoming project tool needs, aligning supply with demandMonitor utilization, turnover, and ROI of tools to guide future purchasing and rental strategyContinuous ImprovementRegularly evaluate the effectiveness of tool rental policies and procedures, identifying opportunities for process improvementsBenchmark performance against industry rental models to ensure Hays’ program remains competitive and efficientSupport leadership in long-term planning by providing data-driven recommendations for expansion, investment, and cost savingsQualificationsExperience in program or account management within the construction industry (electrical strongly preferred)Proven ability to implement or manage software platforms; experience with Tenna and/or Vista ERP highly valuedStrong understanding of construction project financials, including WIP reporting and cost trackingExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsEffective communicator with the ability to coordinate between field operations, accounting, and warehouse teamsPosition DetailsTitle: Tools Account ManagerReports To: Warehouse & Logistics ManagerWorks Closely With: Tool Technician, Project Managers, Superintendents, Accounting, ITWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceFull benefits including health, dental, and retirement plansTravel support and per diemAdvancement opportunities in a fast-growing companyA supportive, team-driven work cultureIf you meet the qualifications outlined above and are ready to contribute your skills to the team at Hays Electrical Services, we encourage you to apply.
