New Business ManagerPurpose StatementTo grow the our clients Brands footprint by leveraging a successful franchisee and Landlord relationship that extends the Brand to where South African consumers of all markets live, work, shop and play.Main Outputs and Responsibilities for This PositionThe candidate must be able to apply a systematic approach to the execution of their roleFind innovative ways of securing sites in non-traditional areas to grow our new formats in a changing landscapeForward thinking approach to drive an increase in footprint. Candidate is actively studying and analyzing the changing consumer climate.Provides assistance to the Franchisee and the region to relocate targeted restaurants by use of location-based information including existing gap analysis toolsAids the Franchisees and the region with rental reductionsComplete rental benchmarking modules and comparisons across all brands and trading formatsComplete all site assessments by use of the approved GIS system and evaluate viability of each site in terms of brand proximity, competitor analysis, demographics and location-based performance.Drive individual brand presentations in terms of trading formats, market segmentation, set up costs and financial modelling for external presentation purposes.Act as custodian between Landlords, Developers and New Business Department across all brands.Update and compile comprehensive reports for all site assessments where required.Acts with speed to establish roll out schedules and proactively drive action to remove bottlenecks in the process of Restaurant Development at Our clients BrandsEnsures there is a regular status update meeting with actions being executed and updated on a regular basisCo-ordinate Geospatial Information System development and maintenance. (Business intelligence tool giving decision-makers the ability to compare company data on consumers, sales patterns and customer trends with census and geo-demographic information such as Living Standards Measures (LSMs).Integrate internal and external data into GIS SystemOngoing GIS Process development and implementationEducation and ExperienceFormal EducationSuitable tertiary qualificationBCom Business or BSC in Property Science preferable·       ExperienceLarge retail and Commercial real estate experience in field is mandatoryAdvantageous track record of exposure to landlords and renewalsHas directly reported to an Executive before and understands the demandsProven track record in positive negotiation outcomes and is agile to changing scenarios in a changing consumer landscapeKnowledge and SkillsHas the financial acumen to understand, prepare and present sound Business modelsAbility to work productively, drive engagement and demonstrate presence as a member of a cross-functional team·     Excellent negotiator·     Good interpersonal and follow up skills·     Uses their excellent organization skills to work with a structured approach to all aspects of the role·     Good presentation skills (a persuasive communicator)·     Solution minded thinker who collaborates to drive strategy and speed·     Ability to translate data into realistic concepts that drives sound decision making.·     Ability to understand concepts across multiple disciplines and transfer knowledge to those multiple disciplines
