You light the way.More about the roleThis is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Logistics & Shipping Coordinator Egypt with Signify.Customs & Compliance Manage and oversee customs clearance processes for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with Egyptian customs regulations and international trade requirements. Prepare and review shipping and customs documentation (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, HS codes, permits, etc.). Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities to expedite clearance. Stay updated on changes in Egyptian customs laws, duties, tariffs, and trade agreements, advising management on potential impacts. Ensure proper classification of goods, tariff codes, and valuation in line with customs standards. Handle duty exemptions, refunds, and drawback applications where applicable. Liaise with Importer of Record & Broker to secure timely delivery.Logistics Operations Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers. Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or issues related to customs, documentation, or transport. Ensure all logistics records and systems are up to date, accurate, and compliant with audit requirements. Track delivery performance, demurrage, detention, and storage costs, implementing corrective actions where necessary. Maintain accurate records for all shipments and prepare reports on Logistics Enable monthly KPIs met and tracking with suppliers in relation to contracts & SLAs Communicate effectively with related stakeholders about shipments’ status to resolve all matters related to shipment & clearance and delivery to the warehouse.Financial & Reporting Verify customs invoices, duties, and taxes for accuracy before submitting for payment. Support budgeting by providing accurate estimates of customs duties, taxes, and clearance-related costs. Prepare regular reports on customs clearance times, costs, and potential savings opportunities.Cross-Functional Support Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, and finance teams to align logistics plans with business needs. Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on customs documentation and compliance requirements. Support audits and ensure adherence to company policies and government regulations.More About YouWhile we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening: Education: A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field is often preferred or required. Experience: Typically requires 4-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar role. Experience in warehouses, inventory, or import/export operations is also valuable. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with various parties and resolving issues. Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for managing multiple shipments, deadlines, and inventory. Problem-solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot supply chain issues and adapt to disruptions. Technical proficiency:Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Experience with logistics management software, shipping software, and inventory management systems. Time management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
