DescriptionBurns & McDonnell India (BMI) T&D Transmission Engineering Department is looking for young, dynamic and self-motivated Transmission designer to support our T&D Transmission Line Engineering and Design Team in the Mumbai Office. T&D offers depth and breadth of experience in power delivery facilities like overhead transmission-distribution, underground transmission-distribution, substation design, renewable power integration, Smart Grid and more, which offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences.This position is responsible for Transmission line related drafting and design work. Candidate will perform work independently to perform transmission design & drafting tasks, CADD design, prepare material lists and other tasks for simple to moderately complex projects.Job Location : Mumbai/BangaloreFollowing Are Some Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe preparation of engineering drawings like Plan & Profile, permitting, assembly and structure framing/loading drawings, reports and designs to support engineers.Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems.Picking up the markups as per the client requirement.Communicating with engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team.Work independently but with some engineering guidance on complex projectsEnsuring final designs are compliant with regulations.Identifying and communicating potential design/drafting problems to the rest of the team.Participate in technical meetings with clients.Ownership responsibility on the assigned work is required.QualificationsDiploma in Civil/Electrical with 1-10 years of experience OR ITI in Civil/Electrical with 3-10 years of experience as CADD designer.Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Office Suite and drafting AutoCAD.Proficient in the English language.Proven verbal and written communication.Knowledge of overhead transmission line construction methods is preferableExperience with various CADD tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth, Revit, Civil3D.Knowledge regarding survey, easements, right-of-way, and permitting.Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize work.Flexibility to work in different roles for different clients both locally and worldwide.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustThis job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.Job EngineeringPrimary Location India-Karnataka-BengaluruSchedule: Full-timeTravel: NoReq ID: 242767Job Hire Type Experienced Not Applicable #BMI N/A
