Join our dedicated and collaborative Wellington‑based crew, supporting essential transmission infrastructure across the Lower North Island — including Manawatū‑Whanganui, Hawke’s Bay, and Wellington. We’re seeking experienced Transmission Line Mechanics who thrive on hands‑on field work, enjoys travelling to rural locations, and values being part of a skilled, safety‑focused team.What We're Looking ForMinimum 3 years’ experience as a Transmission Linesman/Line MechanicEWRB Line Mechanic Registration (Transmission)Trainee Line Mechanic Registration also acceptedSolid technical skills and experience in transmission or high‑voltage environmentsWilling to work away from home in rural/remote areasStrong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanshipValid driver's licence What You’ll Be DoingMaintenance, construction, and repair of transmission towers and structuresInstalling, replacing, and stringing conductors, insulators, and hardwareInspecting and maintaining earthing systems, foundations, and tower componentsClimbing and working safely at heights in varying weather conditionsSupporting planned maintenance, emergency response, and fault workCompleting hazard reporting, following SWMS, and working within strict safety standardsWhat’s On Offer$35 to $41 per hour depending on experience40 hours per week, with additional hours availableTravel and accommodation paid when working awayLAHA (Living Away From Home Allowance) providedSupportive, experienced team based in WellingtonAbout The RoleYou’ll play a key part in maintaining and delivering transmission network work across the region.
