Transmission Lineman

About The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced Transmission Linesman to join our team in Islington and help maintain and construct high-voltage transmission networks. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and safety of our power infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair overhead and underground transmission lines.Perform live-line work using approved safety procedures.Inspect and test transmission systems for faults and compliance.Operate specialized equipment such as bucket trucks, cranes, and tensioners.Work in varying weather conditions and at heights.Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.What We’re Looking ForProven experience as a Transmission Linesman or similar role.Strong knowledge of high-voltage transmission systems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.Current electrical trade qualification and relevant certifications (e.g., EWRB registration, live-line endorsement).Full driver’s license (Class 2 or above preferred).What's in it for you?Competitive pay and overtime opportunities.Comprehensive training and career development.Supportive team environment with a strong safety culture.Opportunities to work on major infrastructure projects.DiversityVentia is enriched by the diverse experiences, talents and cultures that our people bring to the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.
