Company DescriptionThe Junior Treasury Accountant plays a key role in supporting daily treasury operations, including cash management, bank reconciliations, and electronic payments. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, efficient disbursement processing, and adherence to internal controls across all treasury related functions.What's in it for You?Competitive salaryPaid vacation, sick, and personal daysHealth, dental and vision benefits with enhanced mental health coverageDiscounted gym membershipEmployee Assistance ProgramGroup life & disability insurance50% dining discount for all O&B for you and up to 3 guestsRRSP matchingReferral IncentivesTuition reimbursementO&B is one of Canada's leading hospitality companies, offering a wide range of exciting internal career opportunities!Job DescriptionEnsure timely funding, disbursements, and transaction posting for all company bank accountsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptlyIssue online electronic payments for scheduled disbursements and urgent payment requests, in coordination with the Accounts Payable teamPost transactions from various payment processors and prepare reconciliations of related general ledger accounts on a weekly and monthly basisVerify banking details and complete vendor forms on a timely manner as requiredOccasionally perform in person banking tasks such as bill payments and other counter related transactionsSupport the month end close process by ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of treasury related accountsPrepare chargeback documentation and submission for Moneris and Amex merchant accounts, including follow up and trackingMaintain organized records and audit trails for all treasury transactions in accordance with internal controls and financial policiesPerform other related tasks as assigned by the Treasury Manager or Finance LeadQualifications2+ years working experience as part of an accounting departmentStrong experience in preparing bank reconciliations and cash handling proceduresAdvanced Excel skills and highly organizedAble to communicate and articulate ideas clearly to multiple levels of managementAbility to work in a collaborative environment across multiple departments within the company (Billing, Payroll, A/P, Operations, Exec Management, Legal, HR, and IT)Experience with Microsoft Navision and Jet Reports would be an assetExperience in month-end close process and general ledger account reconciliationsCertified Professional Accounting designation completed or in progress would be an assetAble to work in a very high transaction volume environmentEnthusiasm and commitment to meeting deadlinesLegally eligible to work in CanadaIn office requirement 4 days a week (Yonge and Eglinton)Additional InformationOliver & Bonacini's Diversity Commitment At Oliver & Bonacini Hospitality, we are committed to treating every employee with dignity and respect.
