Treobytes Program Lead – ESCONDIDO STEM ProgramEmpowering Young People Through STEM Education About Treobytes: Treobytes is a nonprofit STEM education organization committed to increasing access to hands-on, project-based learning for students in grades TK–10. Our mission is to spark curiosity and build confidence in STEM through creative, collaborative, and engaging experiences. We believe in preparing the next generation to thrive in a technology-driven world by fostering problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. Each year, we reach thousands of students through after-school programs, summer camps, and STEM events across San Diego County.

Our after-school programs are a flagship initiative where students explore robotics, coding, and basic engineering concepts in a supportive, fun learning environment.  Position Title: Program Lead – Treobytes STEM Program Position Overview: The Program Lead will oversee the implementation of Treobytes’ TK – 8 STEM curriculum at multiple sites, teaching in the classroom, managing facilitator teams and ensuring high-quality delivery of project-based lessons. The role blends coordination, communication, and direct support, with an emphasis on empowering facilitators, communication with Treobytes management, and making a lasting impact on students.

This position is ideal for someone with a passion for youth education, STEM learning, and team leadership. The Program Lead is an essential link between Treobytes, YMCA site staff, and facilitators, helping bring our mission to life each day.  Key Responsibilities:  Supervise, teach, and support facilitator teams delivering STEM programming to TK–5 students at assigned EUSD sites. Collaborate with Treobytes Management and YMCA site staff to ensure alignment with site needs and goals. In conjunction with Treobytes leadership; train, mentor, and observe facilitators to maintain high-quality instruction and classroom management.

Coordinate program scheduling, lesson prep, material needs, and team logistics with operations. Ensure consistent communication with facilitators and Treobytes leadership to support team success. Monitor and report on program outcomes, staff goal progress, and student engagement. Troubleshoot day-to-day issues related to classroom delivery or materials. Support the launch and execution of special events (e. g. STEM Challenge Day, showcases). Maintain a positive, professional, and proactive presence on-site. Work on curriculum development, curriculum updates and project development. This role reports to the Assistant Director / Director in charge of the district. Qualifications: Experience in education, youth programs, and STEM-related instruction preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and motivate teams. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and confident in problem-solving. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with project-based learning and/or basic STEM concepts is a plus. Must have reliable transportation to visit multiple program sites.  Work Hours: Part-Time: Monday- Friday between 12: 00 - 5: 00 PM Onboarding and Training: Employees will be required to complete regular training (online/in person) as it applies to the position. This also applies to the onboarding process. Compensation:  Hourly pay at $26. 00 per hour Physical Demands:
