Determine and establish overall objectives, compliance dates and processes to follow. Responsible for compliance with key financial and operational indicators of the business.
Perform independently, administrative and functional responsibilities that include dealing with more complex situations that can be in constantly changes requiring knowledge I implementation of the best business practices and goals, as operational policies. Develop indicators and processes to detect, correct and prevent situations that negatively can impact the customer. Perform financial activities, accounting and administrative related work. What You'll Do Establish major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepare reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past present and future operations.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls. Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends. Complies with federal and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements advising management on needed actions. Completes operational requirements by scheduling and ass1gmng employees following up on work results. Develop policies and procedures for the effective and efficient management of the corporate assets and to standardize accounting operations. Oversees that accounting practices, policies, procedures and principles are followed consistently by Finance and Accounting Manager.
Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties. Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, deposit, protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments. Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards. Coordinate audits of company accounts and accounting transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes. Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions, such as promotions, dismissals, disciplinary actions, etc. Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and other business partners to facilitate financial activities. Meet with internal or external auditors to discuss, explain, or clarify any finding contained in the audit report. Ensure that internal financial controls are implemented as designed and kept up to date and resolve promptly any finding.
Provide guidance to the personnel about the controls and responsibilities related, and report to the TSM task force in charge of the documentation of the financial internal controls of any changes to internal controls. Provides support and assist the Vice President of Finance whenever is required. Coordinate meetings within the Finance Department or other external Departments when issues impacting Finance are identified. These meetings will be made until final resolution is achieved. Lead initiatives and projects to make processes more efficient and cost/effective.
What You'll BringMaster Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or Finance with 3 to 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting environment and in the preparation of financial statements. Or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting or Finance with and 8 years of this experience. At least 5 years supervisory experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred. CLOSING DATE:
