Understand and demonstrate safe loading and unloading practices.Ensure that all loads are properly secured and can be transported safely. Follow routes to deliveries while operating a CMV and avoiding truck restricted roads and low clearances.Interact with customers in a professional manner and exhibit characteristics of our Core Values while making deliveries. Report road incidents to the dispatcher. Follow accident procedures.Refuel and clean vehicle daily.Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.Competencies:Attention to details Ability to problem solveAbility to drive and maneuver various configurations of trucks and trailersAbility to gain a good understanding of materials and accuracy of loadsMake various deliveries to jobsites and dealer yardsOperate efficiently to deliver multiple local loads dailyBe at delivery site at 7:30 a.m. Make decisions based on driver's abilities and capabilities of equipment Perform maintenance checks and report items that need repairMaintains a MVR report that is in good standing
