PRIMARY OBJECTIVESOversee and maintain the District Management (DM) IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, robust security, and efficient operation of all IT systems. This role involves managing the IT team, implementing best practices, optimizing IT operations, and aligning technology with business goals. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the DM operations support systems, serving as the DM IT expert in the SCADA system while also possessing knowledge and experience in other operational systems, including the Facility Management System (FMS), Campus Network, and Security Systems. Lead the IT system and application support function, ensuring efficient service delivery and timely issue resolution.
Ensure all service outages are attended to, analysed, and resolved to meet day-to-day business operational requirements. Develop, enhance and adhere to the IT service management procedures and policies. Manage vendor performance, service delivery SLAs, and IT system contracts. As a team expert, to liaise, coordinate and provide assistance for any corporate IT-related matters or any other matters as instructed by the Head of Department. REQUIREMENTSMinimum professional certificate or equivalent in Information Technology, preferably a degree in Computer Science and IT-related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 3 years in a managerial role, in IT infrastructure and operations, covering server, storage, virtualization, data network, and data center facilities. Strong technical expertise required, with a deep understanding of system components and their interconnections to ensure efficient performance and integration. Proven experience in IT operations management, including incident resolution, and system performance optimization. Experience in managing SCADA system is preferred. Resourceful and able to work independently. Adaptable and flexible problem-solving skills. Ability to facilitate process improvement via technology. Agile and resilient.
