Job Description

PwC’s Tax Group in Bermuda has exciting employment opportunities at the Associate, Experienced Associate, Senior Associate, Manager and Senior Manager levels. As a member of the Tax Group, you will assist local and offshore businesses, individuals and organisations with their U.S., Bermuda, and international tax strategy, planning and compliance, while delivering a wide range of business advisory services. What we look for: All Roles: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, taxation, or law from an accredited university International Tax experience preferred (required for Experienced Associate and above) Eligibility to sit for the CPA or U.S. Bar exam (or international equivalent); relevant US Tax certifications (e.g., Enrolled Agent) also considered Candidates with substantial relevant Tax experience (especially US tax) may be considered even without CPA/EA eligibility Associate: Entry-level; International Tax experience preferred but not required Experienced Associate: 1+ years of International Tax experience required Senior Associate 2+ years of International Tax experience required Must have written or be scheduled to write CPA exams, or hold an equivalent US Tax certification Candidates with 3+ years relevant Tax experience (US tax preferred) considered Manager US CPA, US Bar admission, or equivalent US Tax certification required (or relevant experience) 5+ years of tax-focused work experience with an international accounting/law firm or similar, specializing in partnership/corporate tax issues Proven managerial and operational experience Senior Manager US CPA, US Bar admission, or equivalent US Tax certification required (or relevant experience) 7+ years of tax-focused work experience with an international accounting/law firm or similar, specializing in partnership/corporate tax issues Expertise in asset management or insurance is an advantage Key Responsibilities (All Roles): Prepare and review tax returns for insurance companies, investment funds, and other filings (primarily US tax) Conduct and supervise tax research; draft technical memoranda Prepare presentation materials for marketing tax services Meet with clients to discuss tax issues Additional for Manager/Senior Manager: Manage client engagements, staffing, and economics Extensive knowledge of US tax compliance and consulting for investment funds/insurance companies, including tax software expertise; equivalent non-US experience considered.
