Over the past three years our Japan Media team has won numerous pieces of business, making us the one of the fastest growing agencies in Japan and we are now looking to expand the team.This represents a great opportunity to join a fast moving, award winning media team, that offers massive potential for career growth, the opportunity to work overseas via our Work Your World programme, a leading SGD programme and many more career and life expanding programmes.OverviewWe’re looking for an UI-focused Experience Designer with Figma superpowers to join our team.You’llBring a high level of UI detail and polish, while also thinking about the bigger UX picture Craft pixel-perfect, scalable interfaces with variables, tokens, and smart components Build and maintain design systems, applying a strong sense of systems thinking to create flexible, future-proof solutions Collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and developers to deliver seamless experiences Contribute to our design culture as a curious, supportive team player Perfect for an upper-midweight designer ready to step up, sharpen their craft, and make a visible impact.ResponsibilitiesDesign beautiful, functional interfaces across web and app projects Build and evolve design systems - using tokens, variables, and smart components to scale design efficiently Think in systems - spotting patterns, creating consistency, and ensuring design decisions work across journeys and touchpoints Support great user experiences - collaborating with UX and strategy colleagues to shape flows and interactions Prototype and test ideas - bringing concepts to life in Figma and beyond (and iterating fast) Collaborate closely with developers - ensuring smooth handoff, responsive design, and pixel-perfect implementation Champion design culture - sharing knowledge, mentoring juniors, and raising the quality bar across the team Experiment with new tools and approaches - from the latest Figma features to motion, accessibility, and AI-driven design practices Qualifications2-4 years of professional UI/UX design experience - ideally within an agency or product team, with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality interface design Deep Figma expertise - confident with variables, tokens, auto-layout, and smart components, and able to set up efficient, scalable design workflows Design systems knowledge - experience building, maintaining, and evolving systems, with a mindset for consistency and scalability Strong visual design craft - an eye for typography, layout, spacing, and hierarchy, with the ability to deliver polished, pixel-perfect interfaces Understanding of UX and experience design- able to think beyond visuals, considering flows, interactions, and overall user journeys Collaborative and team-oriented attitude - comfortable working closely with other designers, strategists, and developers, giving and receiving feedback constructively Problem-solving mindset - able to identify challenges, explore options, and land practical, creative solutions High attention to detail and accuracy - from design handover to documentation, you take pride in delivering reliable, consistent work English proficiency - confident communicating ideas clearly with teammates and stakeholders in an international environment Bonus skills (nice to have): knowledge of accessibility best practices, motion/prototyping tools (After Effects, ProtoPie), basic front-end awareness (responsive design, CSS fundamentals) and AI tools (Framer, Loveable, V0).
