Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Public Advocate based in San Juan, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Public Advocate will be responsible for providing direct support and guidance to victims of property damage, representing clients during claims processes, and advocating for their rights. Daily tasks will include conducting community outreach, developing educational materials, and engaging with policymakers to drive systemic change. The Public Advocate will work closely with a team of professionals and volunteers to ensure comprehensive support for those affected.

QualificationsStrong skills in advocacy, client representation, and community outreachExperience in developing educational materials and conducting public awareness campaignsProficiency in policy research and engagement with policymakersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCompassionate and empathetic approach to client supportAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environmentExperience in non-profit organizations or advocacy groups is a plusBachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Law, or related field
