RequirementsNQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Human Resources, Employee Relations or relevant fieldAt least 5-8 years’ Human Resources experience in a related role.Medically fit to work in the specific business area.Clear security screening record. Valid Driver's License (if Applicable)Key ResponsibilitiesBuilding a values-based organisational culture Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment such as the BeQ. ESG Compliance Align to international responsible mining principles. SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs). SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative. SHE Compliance Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment. Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. SHE Management: Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department. Participate in regional/local bodies and decision-making forums in the process developing a business relevant external environment, that will result in the longer-term sustainability of the Division. Quality Management System (QMS): Approve department’s documents. Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System. Focus on safe production & operational excellence Focusing on safety and health as well as operational excellence Improving our position on global industry cost curve People Management Recruitment: Designing the specific Operations’ discipline structure to support the achievement of the organisational mandate. Reviewing and approving labour plans around operational targets. Performance Management: Providing leadership and inspiring team members towards high performance. Managing performance and development of reporting staff. Setting the specific Operations’ discipline performance targets and criteria that align with organisational goals for the team. Employee Relations: Driving the Organisational Culture and Climate within the Business Unit to ensure achievement of organisational objectives and employee safety. Training and Development: Driving a culture of Learning and Continuous Improvement within the specific Operation to ensure achievement of organisational objectives and safety. Mentoring individuals to enhance the individual`s knowledge, skills, values and attitude. Creating opportunities for development through participation and involvement in new business or technology enhancement projects for team members. Providing coaching to team members on an on-going basis. Transformation & Sustainability: Driving a culture of transformation within the specific Operation to ensure organisational sustainability.Human Resource Management (Operational) Ensuring that the shaft provide effective human resources services to meet organisational objectives. Ensuring consistent implementation of the Labour Management value chain. Ensuring the correct standard processes are in place, maintained and endured to. Developing realistic but challenging HR benchmarks and efficiencies for shafts to adhere to. Improving systems support to HR (SAP, Essbase, etc.). Auditing shafts on compliance to Human Resources standards and processes through data and shaft visits. Putting processes in place to support accurate labour reporting and audit shaft labour reporting regularly. Providing ad-hoc support where required to ensure high quality delivery of HR service. Providing a recruitment service that engages and sources appropriate staff within Operation. Contributing to the planning and implementation of the performance management process. Coordinating the provision of support to incoming and outgoing expatriates with regards to relocation, accommodation and education arrangements within Operation guidelines. Providing independent support and influence to managers and employees in helping to resolve discrimination and harassment allegations and other employee grievances. Supporting managers in progressing disciplinary and performance issues for administrative, support and professional employees. Ensuring Operational compliance with all obligations under relevant employee consultation processes. Leading and developing the performance of a team in line with the organisational performance management system and company values to achieve objectives. Stakeholder Relations Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally (e.g. unions and associations, communities, government structures, municipalities, Contractors and suppliers) at all levels and cross-functionally. Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Sourcing, contracting and negotiating with service providers.Additional RequirementsQualification in Labour Law would be advantageous. NQF 8 (Post graduate Diploma / Honours Degree / Professional Qualification Degree) in Human Resources, Employee Relations or relevant field would be advantageous.
