We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team.This role is currently based at our Northern Virginia location, with the understanding that the primary work site will change based on future long-term projects.Job SummaryThe Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of assigned revamp and upgrade projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and handling the technical aspects of project delivery from planning through completion.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and guide project staff, ensuring progress aligns with project schedules and objectives.Coordinate with engineering teams, suppliers, subcontractors, safety personnel, and other stakeholders to develop project schedules, change orders, technical documentation, and related materials.Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance (O&M) teams to plan and oversee on-site activities.Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure strong relationships and smooth project execution.Prepare and present regular internal and external project progress reports.Conduct progress reviews, proactively identifying challenges and developing actionable solutions.Perform and/or review design calculations, equipment and material specifications, work procedures, test plans, and technical manuals as required.Utilize relevant design or engineering software tools to support project design and documentation.Work with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.Develop and update technical documents to reflect changes and provide supplemental information as necessary.Communicate any required procedural or maintenance changes to site managers and O&M staff; facilitate additional training as needed.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role such as Engineering Project Manager, Civil Engineer, Field Engineer, or Electrical Engineer within the industrial or construction sector.Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience in all phases of project development—design, validation, manufacturing/installation, testing/commissioning, and quality/safety.Strong knowledge of project delivery and control, including risk and issue management, contract management, and financial tracking.Understanding of relevant laws, codes, and regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with root cause analysis.Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff at all levels, suppliers, and customers.Experience coordinating projects involving multiple technical disciplines.Technical knowledge in preparing engineering plans, drawings, and specifications.Skilled in leading and facilitating meetings involving complex technical topics.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.Working ConditionsTravel Requirement: 25%–50%, depending on project phase and location.This is a project-based position.
