🏦 Banking Sector📍 Nicosia, CyprusAre you ready to ensure the smooth operation of core banking systems, support daily processes, and play a key role in maintaining the stability of critical financial services?On behalf of one of our largest and long-term clients in the Technology Sector (active in banking projects), we are looking for an IT Banking Operations Support professional to join their growing IT team and ensure the smooth operation and coordination of banking systems. Purpose of the Position: Supporting the daily operation of the bank’s core systems. Monitoring and executing end-of-day and batch processes.

Ensuring the stability and smooth running of banking applications. What You’ll Do: Monitor and execute daily banking system processes, including end-of-day batch jobs and scheduled operations. Support the smooth operation of core banking applications by identifying and resolving routine technical and operational issues. Collaborate closely with senior IT teams and vendors to escalate and resolve complex incidents. Generate, validate and distribute operational and financial reports. Write simple scripts or queries as needed to support reporting. Assist in ensuring compliance with internal IT policies and banking regulations related to system operations.

Participate in system health checks, backups and routine maintenance activities under supervision. Communicate effectively with business users and IT colleagues to understand and support operational needs. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at automating and optimizing operational processes. What We’re Looking For: 🎓 EducationUniversity Degree in Computer Science. 💼 ExperiencePrevious experience in IT operations, banking systems, or application support is considered an advantage (internships or entry-level experience acceptable). 💻 Technical KnowledgeFamiliarity with banking or financial systems (core banking exposure preferred). Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting (for generating reports or queries). Understanding of IT operations, system monitoring and incident resolution.

💬 Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset. Ability to work in structured, process-driven environments. Effective communication skills (verbal & written). Team player with the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions. Willingness to learn and grow within the banking technology field. 🗣️ Fluent in Greek & English.
