Purpose of the RoleAs an Accounting Analyst, Associate, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial health of UPMC.
You’ll assist with accounting and analytical activities that ensure the accuracy of our general ledger, help develop financial statements and reports and contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Your work will directly support strategic decision-making across the organization. Location: This position will be based out of The US Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will have the potential to work from home with a hybrid schedule which includes 2 days in office per week and 3 days at home per week.
What You’ll DoAssist in gathering and analyzing data for a variety of essential management reports. Create insightful accounting analytics to meet both internal and external reporting requirements. Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and proposing necessary corrections. Interpret financial transactions and events to support informed business decisions. Prepare and post basic monthly journal entries with accuracy and timeliness. Support administrative tasks and contribute to special projects that drive innovation and efficiency. OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of related work experience. Microsoft Office spreadsheet application and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
