Job position: Senior Environmental Assessment PractitionerCompany name: EScience Associates (Pty) LtdJob type: PermanentLocation: Johannesburg based with projects countrywide.Closing Dates: 31 May 2024Job DescriptionEScience Associates (Pty) Ltd is a environmental consulting company based in Johannesburg and consulting throughout Southern, seeking a registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner fulfil the role of a senior environmental consultant.This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging projects across various sectors including industrial, mining, waste recycling, and renewable energy projects.The ideal candidate must be competent to independently undertake complex environmental processes including:Environmental authorizations.Waste management licensing.Water use licensing.Environmental compliance auditing and reporting.Regulatory reporting per conditions of environmental authorizations and licenses and related legislation.Qualifications/Experience RequiredMinimum of a bachelor of science (BSc) or similar degree in a relevant field such as environmental sciences, natural sciences, or environmental engineering.Robust knowledge of South African environmental legislation, guidelines, and regulatory processes.Proficiency in English report writing and communication.Ability to review and critique specialist reports.Ability to assess and translate technical/engineering information to a level relevant for project scope development and execution.8 or more years’ work experience, preferably in a consulting environment.EAPASA registered.Consultation with regulatory authorities.Sound knowledge of chemistry will be an advantage.Salary range: Market Related based on experience and skill of the individual.Contact person: Abdul Ebrahim Contact Phone Number: 072 268 1119 Contact email: abdul@escience.co.zaCompany Website Address: www.escience.co.za
