ZYTCA is a fast-growing vet-tech start-up revolutionising veterinary diagnostics through rapid in-house PCR panels and AI-driven pathology. As we expand across the UK and beyond, we're looking for a versatile, proactive Veterinary Nurse to join our Oxford-based team in a hybrid role that blends customer service, internal operations and sales support.🧬 What You'll DoYou'll report directly to our Sales Manager, but work closely day-to-day with our CEO, CSO, and senior scientists and vets — gaining exposure to every part of our innovative business. This is a developing role with real scope for growth, so we're looking for someone eager to learn, contribute, and evolve with us.Your responsibilities will include:Customer Service & Technical SupportResponding to client enquiries and troubleshooting PCR kit usageProviding warm, professional support across phone, email, and chatLiaising with veterinary practices to ensure smooth onboarding and usageStock & Lab OperationsManaging inventory of diagnostic kits and lab consumablesCoordinating stock levels, deliveries, and reorderingSupporting day-to-day lab logistics and documentationSales & Outreach SupportCold calling and scheduling meetings with veterinary practicesAssisting the sales team with lead generation and follow-upsPreparing materials and coordinating demos or training sessionsTeam & Office SupportJumping in wherever needed to keep the lab and office runningSupporting internal projects, SOP updates, and team communicationsRequirementsVeterinary nursing background with a passion for diagnostics and innovationStrong customer service skills and a friendly, solution-focused attitudeComfortable with computers and basic software tools (email, spreadsheets, CRM)Experience in stock management or lab logistics is a plusExperience or knowledge of ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 a bonusWillingness to learn, adapt, and grow with a fast-paced teamA proactive mindset and genuine desire to progress within the companyBenefitsA fun, flexible, and mission-driven team cultureFull training provided - we'll support your growth every step of the wayOpportunity to work at the cutting edge of veterinary science and technology£300-£500 CPD annual allowanceUp to two days/annum paid CPD leaveAvailability to attend key industry events such as LVS etc£25-£32k annual salary, depending on experience5 days per week on-siteCore hours 9-5pm, with flexibility25 days + bank holidays annual leave
