Job Purpose:The Vice President – Aviation Marketing & Sales is responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract new airlines, increase passenger and cargo traffic, and strengthen Almaty International Airport’s commercial performance. The role focuses on aviation marketing, cargo business development, and tariff management to ensure the airport’s sustainable growth, competitiveness, and profitability.This position provides leadership and strategic oversight to the Aviation Marketing Department, Cargo Marketing Department, and Tariff Management Department, fostering strong collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to deliver measurable business results.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership & Business DevelopmentDevelop and implement the overall aviation marketing and sales strategy aligned with the airport’s commercial goals.Identify and pursue opportunities for new routes, increased frequencies, and enhanced airline partnerships.Lead negotiations with airlines, cargo operators, and business partners to expand passenger and cargo traffic.Represent the airport in international aviation forums, route development conferences, and cargo exhibitions.Ensure strategic coordination with TAV Airports and Groupe ADP global networks to leverage synergies and shared opportunities.Oversee the development and execution of aviation and cargo marketing plans.Analyze market trends, traffic data, and competitor activity to identify growth potential.Drive initiatives for airline incentive programs and route development support.Manage relationships with cargo partners, freight forwarders, and logistics companies to increase cargo throughput.Position Almaty International Airport as a regional hub for both passenger and cargo operations.Supervise the Tariff Management Department, ensuring transparency, compliance, and competitiveness in pricing and fee structures.Review, approve, and update tariff policies in line with regulatory standards and market conditions.Ensure proper coordination with Finance and Legal teams regarding tariff applications and reporting.Drive revenue growth across aviation-related streams, including landing, parking, passenger, and cargo fees.Monitor KPIs for route performance, load factors, and cargo volumes, implementing corrective measures where necessary.Develop annual marketing and business plans with corresponding budgets and performance targets.Lead, mentor, and develop teams across Aviation Marketing, Cargo Marketing, and Tariff Management.Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Ensure effective communication, professional development, and alignment with the company’s strategic priorities.Promote integrity, operational excellence, and compliance with corporate governance standards.Maintain close coordination with internal departments (Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, Public Relations).Build long-term relationships with local and international aviation authorities, tourism boards, and trade partners.Ensure effective representation of Almaty International Airport’s interests at both local and global levels.Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field.MBA preferred.Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in aviation marketing, route development, or airline/cargo sales.Proven record of driving commercial growth in an international or airport environment.Experience leading multifunctional teams and managing large-scale aviation partnerships.Strong understanding of global air transport, cargo logistics, and tariff regulation.Strong leadership and people management skills.Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.Strategic and analytical mindset with strong business acumen.High proficiency in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset.Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across multiple geographies.Strong project management, planning, and execution capabilities.Integrity, professionalism, and strong ethical standards.Results-oriented, innovative, and adaptable.Ability to perform effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.What do we offer:Employment in accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of KazakhstanOffice location - Almaty International AirportWork schedule 5 days per week, working hours from 8.00 to 17.00 (lunch break from 12.00 to 13.00)Free lunchesCorporate carAnnual paid leave of 24 calendar days (+1 day for birthday after 1 year employment)Annual bonuses on performance resultsMedical Insurance after Probation periodTrainings, e-Learning Academy, and other online/offline platformsJoin our team today and become a vital part of our global airport family, comprising dedicated professionals who work together to ensure a future of seamless travel experiences
