Job Description

Job PurposeAs the VP, Head of Deposit, Wealth & Segment, your job role responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of deposit growth, wealth management, and customer segmentation initiatives. This role will lead the development and enhancement of deposit and wealth products tailored to various customer segments, with an initial focus on the Preferred segment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & PlanningDefine and execute the overarching strategy for deposit growth and wealth management across customer segments.Formulate product strategies for deposits and wealth offerings under the bank’s digital banking transformation, including product features, pricing, and bundled offers.Lead the development of segment-specific value propositions, with a strong initial focus on the Preferred segment. Product Development & ManagementDrive the design, rollout, and continuous enhancement of deposit products aligned with customer needs and market trends.Oversee the full product lifecycle for deposit and wealth products (e.g., CASA, term deposits, investments, insurance), including planning, execution, and performance management.Lead the launch and expansion of investment and insurance products, ensuring compliance and customer relevance.Develop and maintain a robust framework to measure and monitor product portfolio performance.Collaborate closely with the Preferred Network to deliver tailored product offerings and use cases.Segment ManagementDevelop and implement strategies to enrich the Preferred segment, including bundled solutions, loyalty programs, and lifestyle benefits.Explore and develop new segments to improvement business performancePartner with analytics and marketing teams to identify and target high-potential customer segments.Prepare business proposals and presentations to support new product use cases.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage and deliver use case objectives.Effectively manage multiple projects, partners, and vendors simultaneously.Product & Segment PerformanceMonitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure achievement of deposit growth, wealth product penetration, and segment expansion targets.Build and manage financial models and P&Ls for products and segments under management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Preferred Network, Product Marketing, Partnerships, Digital Delivery) to plan and execute product launches and campaigns.Work with Operations to design seamless end-to-end processes that ensure frictionless customer journeys and optimal user experience.Establish a comprehensive product reporting framework, including regular performance reports and advanced analytics (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive).Champion customer-centric design thinking in product development and user flow design.Coordinate with relevant departments to design and deliver product training programs.Stakeholder EngagementFoster a high-performance culture within the Product & Segment team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Work closely with Technology, Digital Delivery, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure effective product systems and process setup.Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment aligned with CIMB/OCTO brand values.Engage external partners and vendors to drive business growth for the specific product & segmentRegulatory ComplianceAct as a regulatory and compliance champion, ensuring all product offerings meet internal and external requirements.Collaborate with governance teams to ensure new use cases are fully compliant and supported by appropriate policies and processes.Oversee compliance and regulatory aspects of all products within the portfolio.Propose and implement policies in partnership with Risk to manage credit risks effectively.Ensure all deposit, wealth products & segments comply with Group Product Framework and internal governance standards.Requirements:Banking / Finance / Business degree and equivalent functional experience7-10 years of experience in retail banking, with strong exposure to deposits, wealth management, and customer segmentation, in a well established foreign bank or local joint stock bank Proven track record in product development Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and execution capabilities.Experienced in customer segmentation space, Good network within the digital ecosystem, good personality with proper communication & negotiation skillsStrong presentation, writing and negotiation skills, including the ability to elaborate projects, commercialsMust possess an ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines and work well with others in a fast-paced and agile environment.Experienced Project management skillExperience with digital product is a preferenceKnowledge of agile development and sprint methodologyFinancial forecast and modelling skillBusiness planning skillMIS, reporting and analysis skillKnowledge of digital banking products/features/offers from best practice in the world as well as current market situation in VietnamKnowledge of regulation framework of each product in consumer banking business and digital banking business.Good at English and Vietnamese (writing and verbal communication)Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership])Presentation skillLeadership skillInter-personal skillConflict handling skillProblem solving skillAnalytical skillCritical thinking/ reasoningCommunication skillTime management skillNegotiation skillMotivated and energeticStrong written and verbal critical reasoningResult orientedAble to focus attention on detail
