With strong partnerships in club retail (Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s), pet specialty (Petco, PetSmart), and grocery, the business is positioned for aggressive multi-channel growth.This company offers a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment backed by strong operational foundations — blending the pace of a high-growth consumer brand with the discipline of a mature, data-led organization.The OpportunityThe Vice President of Sales will lead the commercial growth strategy across the U.S. retail landscape, driving expansion and sales velocity across club, mass, grocery, and pet specialty channels.This is a hands-on and high-impact role, ideal for a proven sales leader who thrives on building national retail partnerships and scaling brands within fast-moving consumer categories.Reporting directly to the CEO, this executive will own the customer strategy, manage key account relationships, and develop the go-to-market structure to support sustained, profitable growth.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a national sales strategy to accelerate growth across club, mass, grocery, and pet specialty channels.Build and manage relationships with Walmart, Target, Costco, Sam’s Club, BJ’s, Meijer, Amazon, Chewy, and leading grocery retailers.Negotiate joint business plans, trade investments, and promotional calendars to drive distribution and profitability.Lead the company’s entry into pet specialty, including team hiring, broker management, and pricing strategy.Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to align commercial execution with brand and financial goals.Use syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, Spins) and retailer scorecards to guide decision-making and performance optimization.Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing sales organization.Drive accountability, structure, and focus across the commercial team.Qualifications & Experience15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in CPG, ideally within pet treats, pet food, or adjacent snack categories.Proven success scaling brands within the $10M–$100M range.Strong existing relationships with senior buyers at mass, club, grocery, and pet specialty retailers.Deep understanding of trade spend optimization, forecasting, and P&L management.Demonstrated success expanding distribution and increasing velocity across multiple retail banners.Data-driven and analytical mindset; expert in category management and retail sales analytics.Entrepreneurial, hands-on leader comfortable driving both strategy and execution.Passionate about pets, health, and building purpose-led consumer brands.Who You AreA commercially driven leader with the energy to scale a challenger brand.·      A strategic thinker and hands-on operator who can move seamlessly between long-term planning and daily execution.·      Highly data-literate — comfortable using Nielsen, IRI, Spins, or retailer POS to inform negotiations and trade strategy.·      Known for building high-performing teams and developing people into top-tier commercial talent.·      Adept at negotiating complex joint business plans, trade spend, and promotional frameworks that deliver profitable growth.The Details·      Location: Remote (U.S.)·      Compensation: Strong base salary  + 30% annual performance bonus + long-term incentive program.·      Growth Path: Opportunity to shape and scale the national sales organization.·      Reporting Line: Direct to CEO
