Job Description

The Vice President of Technology is a senior leader responsible for the execution and operationalization of enov8tive’s technical strategy and product roadmap as defined by the CTO. This role is crucial for ensuring the engineering teams deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure patient-centric solutions that align with the company's mission to streamline healthcare operations.Key ResponsibilitiesI. Technology and Product ExecutionImplement the Technology Roadmap: Translate the long-term strategic vision into actionable, short-to-mid-term technical projects and sprints for the engineering teams.System Interoperability and Design: Oversee the research and development (R&D) lifecycle, focusing on achieving strong system interoperability and excellent user experience (UX) design for new application features and products.Technology Selection and Standards: Recommend and implement the most effective and cost-efficient technology stack, development methodologies (e.g., Agile/DevOps), and content management systems.Market Awareness: Stay current on emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Machine Learning, cloud-native architecture) and internal social trends to continuously improve product offerings and engineering efficiency.II. Operational Excellence and ArchitectureInfrastructure Management: Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the core IT infrastructure, cloud services, and communication systems, ensuring the architecture is optimal, scalable, and secure.Operational Reliability: Drive Operational Excellence by monitoring technology operations and guaranteeing high system reliability, performance, and uptime for all client applications (EHRs, scheduling, etc.).Cybersecurity Implementation: Implement and enforce the company's defined cybersecurity policies and procedures to safeguard patient data and digital assets against threats and breaches.Regulatory Systems Compliance: Ensure all applications and systems adhere to stringent data protection, privacy, and quality assurance processes, maintaining full compliance with relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).III. Team Leadership and ManagementEngineering Leadership: Directly manage, mentor, and lead the engineering, development, and IT operations teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate closely with the Growth, Client Experience, and Operations teams to ensure technical solutions effectively support sales enablement, improve the customer journey, and streamline internal company processes.Talent and Resource Management: Participate in the recruitment and development of technical talent and manage the allocation of engineering resources across multiple projects to meet product delivery timelines.Budget Oversight: Manage and monitor the day-to-day IT and R&D departmental budgets, ensuring strategic and cost-effective use of resources.Internal Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the executive team (CTO) and the technical teams, effectively communicating technical progress, roadblocks, and resource needs to non-technical stakeholders.Requirements and SkillsTechnical and Industry ExpertiseProven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in a senior technical leadership role, such as VP of Engineering, Director of Technology, or similar, ideally within the HealthTech or a highly regulated industry.Technical Architecture: Expertise in building and maintaining scalable, secure technology infrastructure, cloud services, and complex data architecture.HealthTech Domain Knowledge: Practical understanding of healthcare-specific technology, including EHRs, telehealth platforms, and system interoperability challenges.Regulatory Experience: Practical knowledge of regulations governing patient data, such as HIPAA and experience implementing compliant systems.Business and Leadership SkillsStrategic Execution: Strong ability to translate strategic technical insights from the CTO into clear, actionable development and operations plans.Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business-planning, financial models, and budget management to drive cost-effective solutions.Team Management: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage multiple diverse, cross-functional engineering teams.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex technical issues to both engineers and business stakeholders.Education and ExperienceRequired: BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience: Generally 10+ years of experience in IT or software development, with significant time spent in engineering management or senior leadership roles.
