We’re looking for a Technical Streaming Engineer to join a high-performing media technology team powering seamless live and on-demand experiences across mobile, web, and smart TV platforms.You’ll play a pivotal role in owning and evolving a sophisticated streaming ecosystem, ensuring reliability, scalability, and top-tier performance for a diverse client base. From fine-tuning infrastructure to introducing next-generation streaming solutions, your expertise will directly influence the quality of digital viewing experiences.What you’ll be doing:Oversee and optimise streaming infrastructure across multiple data centres (based in Amsterdam).Design, configure and manage live and VOD streaming environments, with or without DVR capabilities.Deploy, maintain and enhance streaming software and associated hardware.Diagnose and resolve issues across encoding, distribution, and playback layers.Partner closely with clients and external vendors to ensure smooth integration and delivery.Stay ahead of emerging trends, introducing new streaming technologies, codecs and DRM systems into production.Contribute your knowledge through collaboration, guidance and technical enablement.What makes you a great fit:Deep understanding of streaming protocols such as MPEG-DASH, HLS and Smooth Streaming.Practical experience with DRM technologies including FairPlay, Widevine and PlayReady.Strong knowledge of modern codecs like H.264, H.265, VP9 and AV1.Familiarity with hardware-based decoding solutions such as NETINT, Synamedia or Harmonic.Solid grasp of IP-based streaming protocols including RTMP and HTTP.Confidence working in Linux-based environments.Experience managing and optimising CDN configurations (Akamai experience is a plus).A problem-solving mindset and exceptional troubleshooting ability.Enthusiasm for DevOps practices and automation to improve operational efficiency.Fluent English communication skills.You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where innovation is encouraged, expertise is valued, and your impact is visible.
