DeLaval Is Looking For a Experienced Computer Vision EngineerThere are lots of opportunities for smart vision applications on a modern dairy farm. Today we supervise the condition of the cows and even control robots in real-time via vision. Tomorrow, we plan to do even more. Clever vision solutions will help farmers around the world to run their operations in a more efficient and environmentally friendly way.We are now looking for an experienced Computer Vision Engineer for our Data Science & Vision Team. This is a job where you clearly can see how your code will help the end customer every day. A trip to a farm now and then will also give you a better understanding of the environment and the problems we have to solve.Main Tasks Develop and maintain computer vision applications for the dairy industry Take part in Proof-of-Concept studies and innovation projects Evaluate new technologies and tools in the area of computer vision Continuously develop and refine our way of working with vision technology Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering Physics, Computer Science or similar Experience from working with product development in industrial companies C++ and OpenCV Computer Vision experience – preferrable both traditional- and model-based image processing Knowledge about cameras, optics and illumination for computer vision Embedded system experience is a plus Experience from robotic applications is a plus Embedded systems experience is a plus Ability to communicate in Swedish Personal Competences Collaborative mind-set Ability to excel in an agile small team environment Curiosity and out-of-the-box thinking Not afraid of getting hands dirty on a dairy farm from time to time We offer youAn opportunity to work with vision applications in a creative and dedicated team with end-to-end responsibility.An exciting position at the forefront of technology in a market leading company with customers all over the world.A possibility to work with software development and vision technology in a different and fun area of application, where you solve real world problems and clearly can see the result of your work.The position will be located in Tumba, Stockholm, and reports to Björn Wiklander, Manager Data Science & Vision Technology.
