Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Department of English and World Languages at Purdue University Northwest (Hammond and Westville, Indiana) anticipates hiring 1 full-time Visiting Instructor to teach first-year composition and other undergraduate writing courses for Spring 2026.Candidates must have completed an MA in English (or other relevant field) plus a minimum of two years’ experience teaching writing at the college level. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate excellence in teaching writing at the college level. Experience teaching Honor’s courses and professional writing also preferred.Start date is January 5, 2026. Responsibilities include teaching five classes per semester. Salary is competitive with similar positions at other regional institutions and includes benefits.
