The main responsibilities of this role are to deliver merchandising requirements consistently across the business in Australia and New Zealand to elevate brand & product experiences and optimise store flow and shoppability to help increase conversion. This role involves travel and physical attendance when needed.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES Campaign Merchandising:Develop comprehensive VM plans for each campaign, including window displays, in-store and table displays, videos, and boutique animations. Adapt international and regional guidelines for local markets and prepare design briefs. Source necessary props if relevant, within budget.Lead final execution approvals during table reviews with senior stakeholders including GM, Marketing Director and Retail Director, and regional teams when required. Manage suppliers for artwork, props, and digital screen installations to deliver execution by the required deadlines. Share the clear timeline schedule, allocation and artwork plan, and track the delivery to own the full responsibility. Manage PO and invoice accordingly.Share the campaign VM quantity for product display, table, widow, sink and bay, with supply chain team Work with Marketing Executive to create Campaign Communication Packs (CCP) and lead VM competitions to drive excellence in boutique execution. Support and supervise installations and verify accuracy through photo reviews and Boutique visits. Focus support on Top10 door campaign installations as well as special executions within these Boutiques. Update digital screens for specific stores.Ensure all merchandising concepts adhere to company directives and maintain innovation to attract customers. Monitor budget compliance and manage purchase orders and invoicesLead plan B communication as necessary. Retail Experience:Drive Retail Innovation - Lead initiatives to enhance in-store experiences that align with marketing strategies and elevate brand presence.Manage Pop-Up Merchandising - Oversee all aspects of pop-up merchandising, including layout planning, prop and product allocation, print preparation, CCP coordination, and in-store setup for both brand pop-ups and wholesale hotspots.Support Event and Conference VM - Provide visual merchandising support for store events and conferences to ensure brand consistency and impactful presentation. Lead execution for the conference VM or equivalent event.Plan and Execute Special Windows - Develop and implement special window displays for Top 10 doors to amplify campaign visibility during key moments such as Christmas and the “Go Big” campaign.Ensure Compliance with Brand Guidelines - Collaborate with the SDVM team to maintain familiarity with L’Occitane’s permanent merchandising guidelines and practices, ensuring holistic shopper experiences across all projects. Planning:Manage Window Display Orders - place window orders in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with the marketing calendar and adherence to the Visual Merchandising (VM) budget.Coordinate Seasonal Layout Changes - work closely with the SDVM team to implement seasonal layout adjustments that maximize promotional presence during key gifting periods such as Christmas and Mother’s Day.Update Product Information - communicate new product details to the SDVM team to support accurate and timely updates of permanent artwork. Artwork and graphic design:Basic Artwork Development - Create simple artwork using appropriate design software under the guidance of the Design Manager. This includes tasks such as producing price tickets and adapting international or regional templates for local use.About YouStrong Organisation Skill – requires strong project managing skills to manage schedules for multiple projects and multiple suppliers including risk management and prioritisation.Strong Communicator – to present a merchandising plan to boutiques to ensure execution in excellence, understand and be able to manage multiple stakeholder’s needsAttention to Detail – lead execution with 100% accuracyGuest-centric, Store-centric solution maker – able to provide solutions based on customer needs at a boutique levelSelf-motivator for innovation – always pays attention to the opportunity for innovation, improvement, and changes and be able to initiate the conversationExcellent merchandising skills – be able to display windows, tables, shelves, flagship store, POP-UP spaces etc. to meet both commercial and aesthetic requirements to be a model for all other boutiquesBusiness and financial awareness – be in line with a business objective, ROI conscious, and business result consciousUnderstand the importance of sustainability and be able to execute or amplify itBasic graphic design skill – able to use adobe photoshop and in-design. Agility and FlexibilityPOSITION PRE-REQUISITES Previous design experience required Previous retail experience preferred. PC Skills – Superior knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) Proven written and oral skills. Ability to be detail conscious.
