Role Overview:A highly skilled Telephony Voice Engineer responsible for leading projects, managing unified communications solutions, and supporting large-scale enterprise deployments. The role requires hands-on expertise across Cisco UC platforms, MS Teams Voice, and Genesys Cloud.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end telephony/voice engineering activities.Evaluate end-user requirements, define technical solutions, and oversee delivery.Configure and administer Cisco UC platforms:UCCE, CUCM, Unity, IMP, ExpresswaySupport day-to-day operations for large-scale enterprise deployments.Manage and maintain E.164 dial plans, translations, partitions, CSS, route patterns.Perform bulk deployments via BAT (Bulk Administration Tool).Deploy and troubleshoot Cisco Jabber on mobile and desktops.Work with VoIP protocols — SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP — and legacy voice protocols like ISDN and QSIG.Debug voice gateways including QSIG and SIP.Administer MS Teams Voice with Direct Routing.Create Auto Attendants, Call Queues, Resource Accounts, and policies.Manage Geo & Non-Geo number porting in the UK & EMEA region.Administer Genesys Cloud contact center environments.Essential SkillsStrong hands-on project experience in telephony and voice systems.Expertise in Cisco UC technologies (UCCE, CUCM, Unity, IMP, Expressway).MS Teams Voice administration with Direct Routing.Genesys Cloud platform experience.Strong understanding of VoIP & legacy protocols.Ability to communicate effectively with end users, managers, and stakeholders.Experience handling large enterprise telephony environments.
