VP - Credit Risk (Corporate)

Job Description

Purpose of the role – This role will work closely with Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) Client Coverage bankers, CME, Markets and Products teams, as well as Legal, Treasury, Credit Risk and operations with the aim of driving business growth and efficiently delivering an excellent experience for customers. The position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to develop their analytical and structuring skills, as well as client relationship management skills, and to play a key role in driving superior client outcomes and delivering world class client relationships.Key Accountabilities-Support portfolio maintenance activities including portfolio administration, monitoring of facility documentation and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of system data;Undertaking financial and credit risk analysis for the preparation of new credit submissions and annual reviews of existing transactions;Continuously seek to optimise the return on capital deployed and resources invested by the businessWorkflow management between Client Coverage, CME, Product Specialists, Credit and client support teams, including IB Services, to achieve a seamless client experience;Attend client meetings where appropriate to support business outcomes and conduct research to develop sector expertise and awareness of market trends; andMaintain an ongoing awareness of NAB’s credit policy, credit and market risk and internal risk appetite.Required Experience-10+ years experience in banking experience, including hands-on exposure to credit analysis (Both PD and LGD) and compliance processes.Proficient in Excel with moderate to advanced Excel skills.Strong Team Player with experience collaborating in dynamic environment.Prior experience in credit rating, with a solid understanding of portfolio monitoring and risk mitigation.Candidate with added sector experience in transport, retail or wholesale will be preferred. Should be comfortable working with global teams.Essential capabilitiesSolid numerical and financial analysis skills; Strong customer & compliance focus and attention to detail;Writing of credit submissions, annual reviews and client core information papers clearly and succinctly;A sound understanding of debt and financial markets products; Fully grasp the relevant macro risks and have a good level of knowledge on the regulatory environment; and Understanding of risk management.
