Job SummaryLamb Weston is seeking a Corporate Development and Strategy Leader to drive potential M&A transactions, divestitures, and high-impact strategic initiates that shape our future. This role integrates corporate development with strategic planning and execution oversight to ensure accountability, urgency, and results.The leader will report directly to the CEO and oversee a small team, including strategy and project management roles. This role will partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to deliver on enterprise priorities, lead major transactions, and ensure disciplined execution of the company’s most critical initiatives.Key responsibilitiesMergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures Lead evaluation and execution of M&A and divestiture opportunities from sourcing to integration/separationManage due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and post-deal processes in partnership with legal, finance, HR and business leadersMaintain an active pipeline of opportunities and industry relationshipsStrategic PlanningLead Lamb Weston’s annual and long-range strategic planning processUpdate the financial model annually to ensure alignment between strategy, resources and executionFacilitate monthly ELT strategy discussion on key business topics (e.g., contracting, crop varietals, capacity planning innovation)Project Management and ExecutionOversee a small team (Strategy Manager and Project Manager) and an incoming enterprise PMO leaderEnsure accountability and execution discipline for enterprise cost savings and cross-functional initiativesStrengthen competitive intelligence processes and provide actionable insights to inform strategyLeadership and GovernanceBuild a culture of accountability, urgency, and collaboration within the team and across the enterpriseProvide clear reporting and strategic updates to the CEO, Board and ELT on corporate development and strategy progressEstablish governance structure that drives prioritization, transparency, and resultsQualifications10+ years of experience in M&A transactions, divestitures and corporate strategy with 5+ years in a senior leadership roleMBA preferredStrong background in consumer-packed goods (CPG), manufacturing or food industry preferredProven success leading full-cycle M&A and divestiture transactionsExpertise in financial modeling, valuation, and investment decision frameworksStrong project management and organizational leadership skills, including oversight of cross-functional teamsHigh emotional intelligence, executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders
