VP of Software Architecture

The VP will function as the primary architect and technical lead on projects to scope and estimate work streams, architect and model technical solutions that meet business requirements and serve as a technical expert in client communication. The VP will be a collaborative and technical lead while orchestrating the company’s overall system development.Essential FunctionsDesign and lead the implementation of software architecture across the company’s product lines that meet requirements, are aligned to best practices, and ensure scalable and reliable deploymentsEvaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to improve software development efficiency and qualityInfluence product road maps through technical feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost benefit analysesPartner with IT Operations and Information Security to ensure appropriate security measures are in placeLead initiatives to improve automation and integration across the company’s product linesOversee the development and growth of the team including coaching, performance management, etc. Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAble to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to accurately convey messages and influence othersCritical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essentialCurrent understanding of best practices regarding system security measuresIn depth knowledge of cloud-based application hosting such as Azure or AWSKnowledge of the mortgage industry is helpful but not requiredCommitment and ability to cultivate a diverse and inclusive work environment. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems is preferred; the equivalent amount of experience will be considered in lieu. Experience10+ years of software development experience including experience in at least one of the following .NET, Oracle, SQL5+ years of hands-on technical design, software development, testing and production supportRecent and significant experience with delivering technical solutions in an enterprise environmentDemonstrated record of providing technical leadership within a matrixed organization and the ability to work collaborativelyCompensation And BenefitsCovius offers an extensive benefits package for all employees, including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)!Compensation $150,720 to $188,400 annualized with a 20% AIP opportunity.
