What will I be doing?ResponsibilitiesAn Assistant Front of House Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our guests and, therefore, must perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Assist the Front of House Manager to oversee the entire Front of House operation to maintain high standardsAssist the Front of House Manager to evaluate levels of Guest satisfaction and monitor trends, with a focus on continuous improvementEnsure regular and VIP Guests are recognised and that the Front of House department operates with a sales attitude and promotes the hotel brand’s loyalty schemeMaximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilitiesAssist the Front of House Manager with setting departmental objectives, work schedules, budgets, policies, and proceduresMonitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front of House Team Members with an emphasis on training and teamworkEnsure Team Members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and are continuously trained to learn and understand polices and practicesMaintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel departmentsMonitor staffing levels to meet cover business demandsConduct monthly communication meetings, in the absence of the Front of House Manager, and produce minutesAssist the Front of House Manager with staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and proceduresAssist the Front of House Manager with recruiting, managing, training and developing the Front of House teamAct in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems What are we looking for?SkillsAn Assistant Front of House Manager with Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members.
