My Client is a leading Irish Distribution within the home improvement space and due to continued growth are now looking for a Warehouse Manager to join the Business. With head offices in Ireland and a larger operation in the UK ,my client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager who can implement new ways of working and lead a Warehouse Team.I had a very enjoyable Teams call with the Commercial Manager who said “ As you know Denis, We have a number of staff with us a long time but crucially added new fresh faces in the last 2 years and there is a family type feel to the company- we have a collaborative culture Denis; and it’s really important that we bring in someone who fits the business-can implement process; lead a team and crucially can be hands on too- can get involved and help out with the Team when required and lead by example. We have had double digit growth in the last 2 years and we are on target to deliver for this year too !"Official purpose of the roleReporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operations — including goods-in, order fulfilment, dispatch, and stock accuracy. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and accuracy while driving the use of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to improve visibility and performance across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires excellent organisational, people management, and system skills.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all inbound and outbound warehouse operations, including order fulfilment, goods receiving, and dispatch.Maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency in all warehouse processes.Oversee stock management through the company’s Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded.Train and support warehouse staff in the effective use of WMS scanning and tracking tools.Lead and develop the warehouse team through clear communication, training, and regular performance reviews.Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, completing daily and weekly management checks.Ensure equipment, forklifts, and racking are properly maintained and serviced on schedule.Delivery on operational KPIs, including pick rates, order accuracy, and on-time delivery.Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce cost.Collaborate with the Commercial & Operations Manager on CapEx projects, layout optimisation, and process innovation.What We’re Looking For3+ years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics management role.Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) – experience with scanning, stock control, and reporting is essential.Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.Understanding of Health & Safety standards and compliance requirements.Forklift license or relevant certification (advantageous).What We OfferCompetitive salary (commensurate with experience).Performance-related bonus scheme.Opportunity to join a growing, ambitious Irish business.Supportive management team and clear career progression pathway.Ongoing training and development, including system and leadership courses.If this opportunity is of interest please send your CV to denis@amicus.ie - all applications will be treated confidentiallly.
