  Distribution Center Manager  Position Summary Ready to build something from the ground up? We're hiring a Distribution Center Manager to launch and lead our brand-new facility in Calgary, AB. We need a hands-on, collaborative leader who has a proven track record of turning a vision into a smoothly running operation. You will be instrumental in ensuring flawless customer service, managing our multi-product inventory with our sales team, and bringing strong integrity and an eagle eye for detail to every task. Proficiency with RF guns, warehouse management software, and material handling equipment is a must for this role.    Key Responsibilities New Facility Setup & Operations: Complete the set-up and launching the new distribution center, implementing new processes, and overseeing all initial operations. Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team. Provide strong leadership through coaching, mentoring, and performance management to foster a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.  Multi-Modal Logistics Management: Work in collaboration with our Ontario facilities on inbound and outbound logistics across various transportation modes, including truck, rail, and air freight. Optimize carrier relationships to ensure cost-efficiency and timely delivery. Operational Excellence: Utilize RF guns and our warehouse management system (WMS) to streamline all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety. Collaborative Inventory Management: Work closely with the Western Canadian Sales Managers to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Implement effective inventory control practices to maintain high levels of accuracy. Customer Service: Ensure that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, maintaining an exceptional level of customer satisfaction. Address and resolve any service-related issues promptly and professionally. Health & Safety: Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.   Qualifications  Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in distribution or logistics management. Proven success in leading, coaching and managing high performing teams. Demonstrable experience in setting up and launching a new facility is a plus.  Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF gun technology. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proficient in Microsoft 365 Programs, including Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word Material handling equipment operation experience   Education: College Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred  Work Environment This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Foothills Industrial Park.  Hours are daytime Monday to Friday, however flexibility may be required to support operational needs.   Benefits & Salary Range Benefits include a comprehensive health, dental and extended health plan, company pension plan, optional life insurance, casual dress, on-site parking and company events.  Salary range is $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience.   Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity.
